This weekend: Blues in and around Atlanta

What a musical weekend! A major opportunity for a very special experience is Lazer Lloyd, Israel’s King of the Blues, at Crossroads in Peachtree City. If  you haven’t seen him I promise you will be energized, uplifted, inspired and thoroughly rocked by this amazing artist!

Delta Moon is also in town at Blind Willie’s this weekend and Mudcat and The AtlantaHorns promise a good time at Darwin’s, where you can also see their shiny new Keeping the Blues Alive award!. Franine Reed is at Eddeie’s Attic and The Blind Boys of Alabama are appearing at Roswell Cultural Center.

February means Mardi Gras and Zydefunk celebrates with their annual King Cake party at Northside Tavvern.

So if you want something fun to do, it’s all there for you this weekend, plus all these other great shows:


Sandra Hall is at Blind WIllie’s. The Donna Hopkins Bandis at Darwin’s and The Hollidays are at Fat  Matt’s. The Georgia Flood is at Celtic Taern in Conyers and the Larry Griffith Band is at The Fpa’s 5th annual Mardi Gras & Casino Night in Roswell. The  Breeze kings are at Meehan’s Public House in Sandy springs and Zydefunk has their annual King Cake party at Northside Tavern. Non stop Blues Band is at Red hare Brewing Company and Semonile Jackson and the New  Dixie Blues Band is at Rock n Taco in Sandy Springs. Roger “Hurricnae” Wilson is at Subourbon Social Club and Raw Bar in Kennesaw.

The Blind Boys of Alabama are at Roswell Cultural Center and The Mar-Tans are at Venkman’s. Fuve Long Years are at Wild Wing Cafe in Suwanee.


Francine Reed is at Eddie’s Attic in Decatur. The Billy George Duo hosts the blues brunch at Cypress Street Pint & Plate and Stephen “Blues Dude” Duncan is at Fat Matt’s Rib Shack.Uncle Sugar is at Northside Tavern. There’s a blues jam at Highland’s Bar & Grill in Marietta.
