This weekend: Blues around Atlanta, Feb. 19-21

Have you been working hard all week? Feel like getting out of the house and having some fun? Well,what you needissomeliveblues1

There’s some great stuff going on this weekend.. one important thing to checkoutisthe Atlanta Blues Society annual membership meeting. If you are reading this, you need to find out more about the blues society if you are not already a member, and think about joining!The annual meeting is a great place to do that and you get to se eand hearMudcat and the Atlanta Horns as well!

Bruce Katz is at Darwin’s with Catafish & Co and Francine Reed is at Blind Willie’s. Rough Draft is at Fat Matt’s. The 12th Annual Atlanta Blues Festival is at the Fox Theatre with Theodis Ealey, Lattimore, Sir Charles Jones and Calvin RIchardson, Lenny Williams, and Terry Wright. Mike Veal is a Nappoleon’s Grill in Decatur and Barry Richman and Friends have a jam at Steve’s Live Music in Sandy Springs Roger “Hurricane” Wilson is at Subourbon Bar and Social Club in Kennesaw, followed by The Way Back Band.


Sandra Hall is at Blind Willei’s and TRY is at Darwin’s. The Wid Hares are at Fat Matt’s and Mudcat is at Durango Wood Fire Grill in Duluth.The Phil Harmoncss are at MoonShadow Tavern in Tucker and Bugsy and The Viceroy are at Napoleon’s Grill. The Caznovas are at Northside Tavern and The Yonrico Scott Band are at Steve’s Live Music. The Breeze Kings are at Subourban Bar and Social Club and Diane Durrett & Soul Suga are at Venkman’s.


TThe Atlanta Blues Society has its annual membership  meeting at Blind WIllie’s ith Mudcat and the Atlanta Horns as host band. The Billy George Duo hosts the blues brunch at Cypress Street Pint & Plate and John Hammond appears at Eddie’s Attic. Stephen “Blues Dude” Duncan is at Fat Matt’s and Uncle Sugar is at Northside Tavern. Highlands Bar & Grill in Marietta has a blues jam.
